The Asmara Project

The Asmara Project covers 600 square kilometres in central Eritrea, located immediately to the north, south and west of the capital city of Asmara. The infrastructure is excellent with roads, power, water and airports servicing the project area. The Asmara Project encompasses a district of base and precious metals volcanogenc massive sulphide (VMS) deposits as well as near surface gold mineralization.Sunridge Gold has earned 100% of the project. The Eritrean government has a 10% free carried interest.

Sunridge has drilled over 200,000 metres on the Asmara project and has defined four separate copper, zinc, gold and silver deposits. A full feasibility study on the high grade copper gold zinc Debarwa VMS project is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2012. A pre-feasibility study on the northern Asmara deposits, Emba Derho, Adi Nefas and Gupo Gold is scheduled for completion in March 2012.
